Not sure what to say?

My name is Joshua Richard Doty, I was Weldons neighbor for 30 Years until the end. I spent years helping him build his organ inside his home. I have alot of good memories, pictures and music. He loved a good bowl of Wolf Chili!

I'm 79 years old and live in Albuquerque. When I was a boy in Dallas, Weldon was one of my heroes. I first heard him play at the State Fair. He was working for a music company of some kind and I think it might have been Allen organs. Not certain. Anyway. My fondest memories were hearing him play at the Palace. My sympathies to Weldon's family and all who knew him. I saw him perform many many times at the magnificent Palace Paramount-Publix #1 theater organ in the Palace Theater. Also wrote about him in my book "Street of Dreams, A History of Dallas' Theatre Row" published in 2003 which quickly sold out. Also wrote about him and Mary in other articles. I'll miss him and his wonderful music. Love to Mary and family. Jeanette Howeth Crumpler
