Not sure what to say?

To: Jean & Family
I was told of Al's passing last evening and I'm sorry that I wasn't able to attend the service and offer my sympathy in person. Al was a true friend and race fan and I admired him in his fight against cancer. May he rest in peace and you be comforted by knowing he is in a better place.

Jean & Your Family
Many of fine days & evenings have passed over the last 30+ years with you and Al at Slinger, Hales Corner, The Milwaukee Mile. Have enjoyed you two and Al and his fine Photos and wonderful personality, Never a dull moment. We will miss him as I am sure you will also. May God Bless you and your family. Peace be with you.

I would like to thank everyone who took the time to send along their kind words. They mean a lot to me and my family. Al always enjoyed life and meeting people. He loved his work with the racing community. Again thank you and may God watch over you and yours.
The family of Al Fortner

Dear Family and Friends of Al,
May he watch over you each day, to keep you safe.
He always smiled and said hi to you
no matter what.
Just think of Al in Heaven with all the GREAT Racers that left this world before him. (Can imagine all those stories.)

You are loved and missed by all.

Dear Jean,
AS I HAVE TOLD YOU MANY TIMES, MY BROTHER PICKED THE CREAM OF THE CROP WHEN HE BROUGHT YOU INTO OUR FAMILY.
We our so thankful that both of you were given the strength to endure these days and to give Allen his rest. Thanks to everyone that I've heard about through his stories that will make both he and his friends live forever.Love, His sister, and family

Jean,
Joe was a great guy. His illness has been a long & rough road. The two of you have been in my thoughts & prayers.

Jean and the Fortner family
We have many fond memories of Al from the many years we worked together with ASA.
Al would greet us every weekend with a smile and a new story about racing in Wisconsin.
Our thoughts and prayer are with you at this time. But we also know that Al is probably still shooting racing pictures in heaven

Fortner family you will be in our prayers. I was able able to meet Al through my grandpa. Always loved to hear stories and jokes from him. He will be missed!!
