Grandpa Joe & Grandma Kate with Grandsons in 2006: L to R - Curtis Fournier (Tony's son), Alex Fournier (Jeff's son) and Steven Fournier (Tony's son)

I am so glad I got to see my godfather, Dear Uncle Joe, last July, 2007,in Cleveland at Rick's house(with my Aunt Teresa)we had a great and memorable day ! We also have many fond memories of family parties, singing and lots of laughs. Remember your house on Framingham in Sylvania, and someone put some "fake vomit" on the floor, and Joe almost got sick over it,while the rest of us were laughing? We also enjoyed his yearly Xmas letters, they were so funny and yet gave us lots of family...

Dear Joe,
Do you remember me? I was the brunette, attached to the hip of your daughter, so many years ago. You were such a kind man and always made me feel welcome. You will be so missed by your family and by everyone who knew you. I hope you will be happy to know, that after many years, Kathi & I are back in touch. May you rest in peace in such a beautiful place.

Dear Grandpa Joe,
I miss you a lot.
I will see you again some day.
Sorry you passed away.
I'am glad it went peicfly.
Love your grandson,
christian

to granpo joe,
I love you.
I hop you have a good time
in hevin.

Dad you blessed me with your gift of prose, unfortunately I never figured out how to keep anything under 10 pages....and that was just the introduction. How am I supposed to write anything good in this space not big enough for a horoscope? I tried last week and all I could muster was love you pops.

While I am at peace with your passing... it doesn't make the pain any easier. That old line you used to feed me, "Bud, tomorrow is a new day." is keeping me going. I know you always...

Grandpa, i will miss you so much! you always made me laugh and i am so glad to have had you as a grandpa. I love you! ~Cutie

Dear Ole Dad,

It was a year ago tomorrow that you gave us the pleasure of your company for a short time. How we all enjoyed your visit! I will always treasure our walk together up and down the driveway and look forward to one day strolling with you again, minus the mesquitos! Thank you so much for all your support, guidance, understanding, forgiveness and love over the years. You have truely made me feel like one of your own. I miss you and I love you. Peg

I first saw Joe on the beach at Lake Erie. He was the most gorgeous redheaded guy I'd ever seen! (Even though he was with a cousin, and not Kate. She was a blond too, but Kate supplanted her--permanently!)

While I regret never getting to know Joe well--we had too much geography between us!--I loved his Christmas letters. They were a good peak into his zany sense of humor--one inherited honestly by his sons, it seems. May he be enjoying life's fullness in the presence of the...
