Not sure what to say?

What a kind hearted, gentle and patient man. He was so good with all the students and loved by all. Harlingen High School Band did well under his direction. My sincere condolences to the family.

I have many fond memories of playing in the RHS orchestra and especially the trip to Chicago to play at the Conrad Hilton Grand Ballroom. It was the first time I had ever left Texas, my first time in a big city and it was also my first airplane trip! I am so grateful for these wonderful experiences that broadened my horizons so much. Mr. Frank was a tremendous teacher who touched many lives. May god bless you in this time of loss.

Mr. Frank, as we always called him, coached and supported me during my time as first chair and the solo's I did with the band. He always thought highly of my tone. A great teacher like this is one of a few that we really come in contact with over our lives. I am honored to have had his presence in my...

Joe Frank was an inspiring teacher and good friend, one of the most influential people in my life during my teenage years. I treasure the opportunity of having been one of his band students.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember how active Mr. Frank, Sr. was in all our activities at Sherman High School. I know it will be hard to fill that huge void. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time.

Dear Frank Family,

I had the honor of meeting Mr. Frank in 1976 when I was in the sixth grade. I spent the next seven years of my life (important years they were), learning from him. Yes, about music, but truly much more. He was a second father to all of us. He was always willing to listen to us, help us and more importantly, put up with our antics. Over the years, I've thought about him many times. That will never stop. I am deeply saddened by this loss to us...
