Not sure what to say?

The WHS class of 1968 extends its deepest sympathy on the loss of Mr.Gerber. A fine man and a great teacher. May he Rest In Peace.

Dear Gerber Family. It is with a heavy heart we learn of this news. Joe was a great friend and neighbor. I will miss our common interest about the Penn State football team we both enjoyed watching and discussing after. Joe was a great guy. Friendly and most approachable person. Always willing to lend a hand to my family while I was traveling for work. May he rest in peace. He will be missed. Warmest and Sincere Regards, The Welty Family

Mr. Gerber was my Geography teacher at Wilson. He showed a vast world waiting for us. Always willing to share his knowledge and listen. Prayers and condolences for family, friends and grateful students. (1973).

May the Lord bless and comfort the family and friends of Joe during your time of loss. May your memories and the love of God and family surround you and give you strength and peace in the days ahead. With sincere condolences, The Congregation and Staff of United Fellowship Lutheran Church (Formerly Good Shepherd & St. Paul's)

RIP MR. Gerber you were a great teacher heaven has gained another angel

Aunt Betty and family, I am so sorry to learn about Mr. Gerber. How much loss can one family take in such a short time? I had Mr. Gerber as a geography teacher, and he was such a nice man. So very sorry for your loss. With sympathy, love and hugs.

Aside from my parents, no one has had a larger impact on me than my teachers. They introduced me to new worlds that h lord mold me into who I am today. I´m an old(er) woman now and still I mourn the loss of this incredible educator. You made a difference Mr. Gerber - thank you.

Had Mr. Gerber in 7th grade geography class back in 1969. Always thought he was a great teacher. Used to like all the colorful maps in his class. Thought he looked like Humphrey Bogart back in the day.

Betty and family, I was so sorry to read of Joe´s passing. I remember him fondly, sitting in his chair reading...with that broad smile on his face...always welcoming. My most sincere condolences, Jo Marie Gray (Erin´s mom)
