I started teaching at the Mass. Fire Academy in 1984. The first program I trained on was Rural Water Supply. This is a program about tanker shuttling, that Joe put together, and introduced to the Academy.....and was pretty much the only program I did for the first couple of seasons when I started as an instructor.
Joe was my mentor, my teacher and my friend. He taught me a great deal, not only about how to put water on a fire most efficiently, but how to relate that...

I worked with Joe the @ MFA on many occasions. His knowledge was extensive and all could tell he was passionate about teaching and really cared about his students. A true gentleman. Peace to his family.

Joe and I both graduated with the class of 1958. Got a lot of special memories from the years we spent together in school. After graduation 4 or 5 of us, including Joe, joined the navy. After boot camp, I lost track of him and most of the others. However, over the past several years I've thought of Joe often. Although he's no longer with us, I know one day we'll meet again in a far better place. Farewell Joe, may you have "Fair Winds and Following Seas".

"I don't remember a time I saw Joe that he wasn't smiling." "I will miss that". Rest in Peace, Joe.

Joe will forever be remembered as the "Father" of the Safety Department at KSP. Though he at times could be blunt, it was becaused he cared deeply about each and everyone of us at KSPand he did not want to see anything happen to any of us. He will be missed but I know he is watching over us from above. Thanks for the Snow this weekend Joe.

You will be Missed.
I am so sorry for your loss. Take comfort in what the Lordhas to say?Philippians 3:20-21 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
