Joseph Fortunato Ghio

I am so sad to hear recently of Joe Ghio's passing- Lou and Joe- I am so sorry for your loss- I know how much you absolutely loved him, as we all did. I was privileged to coach his surf team in high school at Horizon High, and there was not anyone more dedicated to his sport than Joe- He was so full of life, always ready to laugh and fearless in the water, even then! My heart goes out to the family and the community. So tragic!

Thinking of you and your loving spirit. It was wonderful getting to know you and spending even a short time with you. You have a kind loving soul and I will miss you! I pray for your kids and family. God bless!

Joe was a wonderful faithful follower of our Lord and we praise his devotion to his family ... we will learn to live with the love he left behind .... Patty Lewis, Tommy Sullivan, Julie Shuford

We were/are so devastated to find out that was him in that tragic fatal accident early Christmas Parade morning. Eugene grew up with, Joe surfing, and had friends in common. When the OB skate park was built, Joe and the crew would come from surfing for a quick run wearing nothing but sandals and board shorts. Last time I seen Joe was a couple months ago at our local cove with his kids. Heavy heart and deep condolences for his kids, his parents, and all of us, his loved ones. Big hugs.
