Not sure what to say?

So many years have passed, many doctors since I sat in your office, and not one can compare to the compassion and care you gave to me and other patients. I have battled health alot over the past 21 years and often make the comment, Dr Godat would never put me thru this or let me suffer this way! Will always miss the Dr and Friend you were. I was blessed to be among those you cared for. This pic was 1980 with my hubs and second son.

After all these years, I still think of you often. Your wonderful bedside manner and constant encouragement during tough times. Haven´t found a doctor yet that even comes close to you and your care. RIP my friend.

He delivered both of my children, Brian and Carolyn Howard. Very caring doctor. Loved him. Lynda Barefield

This message is long overdue but just as significant. I just retired after 49 years of a wonderful nursing career. As a young nurse one year out of school working at Baylor, an attending surgeon grabbed my breast while I carried his charts during rounds. He then remarked to a resident who was also present " I wonder what her breast size is". It was the only time I was ever reduced to tears in a work environment. I was told by another nurse that I was not his first victim. She said, "Be...

It´s been 20 years and I´ve still not found anyone who comes close to your knowledge and expertise. Let´s not discount your caring and compassionate bedside manner. I used to "complain" about not having any grandchildren.. you said be patient, when they start coming you won´t be able to keep up with them. We´ll, again you were right. I now have 4 beautiful grandchildren. You certainly earned your wings .... RIP my friend. Rhydonia Duggan

There will never be another Dr. Joseph Godat. How I still miss your wonderful bedside manner and your superb knowledge. RIP my friend.

I am sorry to say I have just heard the news of Dr. Godat's passing. I am a patient of his son, Mark, and would like to extend my prayers and best wishes in the loss of a truly remarkable human being. To Mark and Jan I just want to say I love you guys. You are a reflection of Dr.Joe's love and character, and I appreciate everything you have done for me and my family. May God continue to bless you and give you the peace that passes understanding. I can only imagine God saying to him, "Well...

I was a patient of Dr. Joe's for over 5 years, and I only wish I had known him when my daughter was born in the early 90's. I feel like I really missed out!
As many others have said, Dr. Joe had the best bed-side manner of any physician I've ever known.
What really stands out in my mind is how gentle he was about giving bad news. He had a trusting way of sharing information...I always felt like I was in very good hands.
He will be sorely missed. I still haven't found a...
