Not sure what to say?

Godfrey was a good friend of mine. I will always remember the good times we had together whether in Iraq or Oklahoma. I remember driving him from Fort Sill to OKC to go to the airport when he went on leave. We were going up the interstate at about 2 am and were talking about Iraq. We were talking about Iraq and IEDs and I hit some kind of animal. We always used to joke about that morning and could always make eachother laugh when we talking about it. I made him laugh until his last night at...

Joe and Family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Who understands why these things happen?? You are in our thoughts. I also want to express how very much I find myself missing Tommy, Bill Ash and many other wonderful friends of Bill W. I'd met while living in Syracuse.

To the entire family of Joseph Godfrey. We knew your family many years ago when you moved to DeRuyter and bought my grandparent's house. Chris babysat my sibling's and I (Loretta, Darwin, Audrey, and Brandy) and we spent many days in the the company of Joey, Justin, and Cassie. We felt so blessed to of still had the opportunity to spend part of our childhood in, what use to be, our grandparents home. We wanted to send our deepest sympathies and to let the entire family know that our thoughts...

i will miss joe very much. i will always think of him. i wil miss his jokes. iraq was better because he was there to keep us in a good mood. he helped us get through some tough times there. i will never forget the joke he pulled on me. he put something sticky on my water bottle. i picked it up. by the time i realized what was on it. i put it on my lap and got that gue all down my pants. now i got a uniform with a stain down one leg. for some reason i could not get rid of that uniform. it...

To the Family and friends of Joe.
Joe was absolutly my best friend and mentor that I have had in the ARMY. It was an honor and a privelige to know and work with such a fine individual. Joe will be truly missed. All of you are in my heart and in my prayers.

To the Family of Godfrey-
He was such a character, and such a gentleman. He always made me and Jeff (my fiance') laugh. Jeff considered him one of his very best friends and it is such a shame. My thoughts and prayers are with you on your loss.

To my brother in arms, I will never forget the time we served together in Iraq. We went through alot as a section and even more as friends. I'll always have those memories to hang on to. 4TH Section won't be the same without you!!!!

With his sister, Cassie. Christmas '82

We are both very sorry for the loss of Joe jr. Sean spoke highly of him in the time he knew him. You can take comfort in knowing as long as you keep Joe in your hearts and your minds he will never truly be gone.
