Joseph J. Goepfert

Joseph J. "Bing" Goepfert, 72, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Newark, Joe resided in Bridgewater for the past 46 years. Joe was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Bing was the owner of J.J. Goepfert Landscaping in Bridgewater for forty years, until retiring in 2005. Joe had a black belt in karate and was a former instructor. He was a talented woodworker, an avid fisherman and was a member of American Littoral Society, Highlands, NJ. Surviving are his beloved wife of 46 years, Marianne Case Goepfert; his two loving daughters, Jeannette Mason and husband, Kevin, of Readington and Keri Grasky and husband, Scott, of Missoula, MT; his two loving sons, Joseph Goepfert and wife, Bernadine, of Clinton Township and Shawn Goepfert and companion, Lulu, of Bridgewater; his seven cherished grandchildren, Brittany, Brenden, and Connor Goepfert, Colin, Emily, and Logan Mason, and Ramsie Jo Grasky; and his twin sister, Carol Goepfert of NJ. Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 9 AM on Friday, March 2, 2012 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 followed by a 10 AM Funeral Liturgy at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, 1890 Washington Valley Road, Martinsville. Viewing hours are Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 2 to 6 PM at the funeral home.
