Not sure what to say?

The true "class act" of Trenton lobbyists. A man who built wonderful lasting relationships and respect in both the Assembly as the staff leader and as the chief lobbyist and later President of NJBIA. He was an articulate advocate for business interests, particularly the small business owners who particularly adored Joe. He was a great collaborator in the the legislative wars and I was honored to work with him on so many issues.

One cannot use the words "knowledgeable" and "gentleman" often enough in describing Joe Gonzalez. A true icon of the government, lobbying and association world and he crafted an exemplary reputation in each. My honor to work with him on many important business issues when I was with the NJ Chamber. My prayers for Joe and his family. BILL HEALEY

I worked for and with Joe for many years while at NJBIA. He was a gentleman in every respect of the word who made people laugh with his sly dry wit. I will miss him.

While I didn´t know Joseph for verily long, we hit it off immediately. He brought us into his family for holidays and vacations. I cherished his intellect and wit. It was an honor to get to know him and call him a friend.

I always had the greatest respect for Joe when I covered the New Jersey Statehouse for the Associated Press. So when he offered me a job at NJBIA, I jumped at the chance. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. He was a great boss and friend. May you Rest In Peace, Joe.

SHARON, BECKY AND ANDREW, I JKUIST RECEIVED THE NEWS ABOUT MY FRIEND JOE. A PRIVILAGE TO TRAVEL THIS JOURNEY WITH JOE AND YOUR FAMILY FROM PRINCE OF PEACE, INCLUDING THE HIKING TRIPS TO NJBIA, THE TENNIS COURT TO WITHUM. I ALWAYS ENJOYED OUR CONVERSATIONS. BLESSINGS TO ALL OF THE GONZALEZ FAMILY. HIS PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU. JAY SEXTON

Joe Gonzalez was a true gentleman. I had the distinct pleasure of working with him as an Assemblyman and Cabinet member. He was a good man

My father, Lou Russo, worked with Joe at the NJ Republican State committee. He always said Joe was one of the kindest, most principled men he knew. Dad did not throw compliments around. I always found Joe to be as Dad described. Ginny Lang

During my time as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly, Joe was a great friend and person. Donald Albanese
