Not sure what to say?

It was an honor to argue before Justice Gordon in the appellate court. What a joy to find a justice so interested in the law and well-versed in the case. I will miss his challenging questions.

I always picture him as a law professor at JMLS, but my real memory of him and my debt to him arose when I was under attack around 30 years ago. I cannot tell you the advice, but I can tell you that his words and concern changed my life to this day. Him memory will live with me as a Blessing.

Joe Gordon was my Evidence teacher many years ago at John Marshall. What a great professor. I can recall one special conversation. I bumped into him after taking the final and before the grades were handed out and I asked if he knew how I did--he answered that I did very, very well on the exam and I interrupted and said "So you gave me an "A" " Oh no he said, I noticed that you never showed up for the Friday night class - if you would have shown up and permitted me to get you "farblungett"...

Thank you for everything you taught me. Thank you for being so good to me and my family. I will miss you and will never forget you.

Uncle Joe the children and I missed the opportunity of spending time with you and the memories we have are very special.

To the family of Justice Gordon may God give you comfort and peace by means of prayer - Philipians 4:6,7. My deepest sympathy

Joe Gordon was a special person in my life. I delighted in his "way with words" and still find myself quoting him from time to time. Rest in peace, Joe. I will miss you.

There will never be another Joe Gordon! I am so privileged to have known you. Love, Sonja
