Mr. Joseph Henry “Joe” Gosciniak

Joe entered this life on January 6, 1945, in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Joseph Gosciniak & Helen Robertine Scott Schofield. He died on Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at 12:36 pm, from injuries suffered in a truck accident on Indiana State Highway 56, near the Town of Center Square, Indiana.

Joe was raised near Bicknell, Indiana, and attended school there. He was united in marriage to Carol Jean Zimmer on March 31, 1974, in Brookville, Indiana. He had resided in Switzerland County the past 13 years. He was a retired certified welder, having worked for 35 years for the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Forgers, & Helpers Local 374, Hammond, Indiana.

He enjoyed alternative healing, crystals, science fiction and was a true believer that one person could make a difference. He was a believer of the Independent Protestant Faith. He enjoyed life to the fullest and will be missed greatly by his family.

Joe will be sadly missed by his loving wife: Carol Jean Zimmer Gosciniak of Center Square, Indiana; his daughters: Kim Guerrero & her husband: Bo of St. Louis, MO; Lisa Allen & her husband: Rob of Vincennes, IN; Janelle Lustig & her husband: Steve of Vevay, IN; his sons: Joseph W. Gosciniak & his wife: Cris of Dillsboro, IN; Justin W. Gosciniak & his wife: Amy; Joshua W., Jacob W., & Jordan W. Gosciniak all of Vevay, IN; his grandchildren: T.J., Clem, Christopher, James, Andrea, Kaitlyn, Makayla, Marissa & Brooklyn; his father: Joseph Gosciniak of Freelandville, IN; his sisters: Georgetta Meyers of Vincennes, Indiana; Sharon Brenton of Bruceville, IN; his step brothers: Kenneth Snow of Bicknell, IN & David Horn of Brookville, IN; several nieces, nephews & other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother: Helen Schofield & his step sister: Linda Hinkle
