Not sure what to say?

Joe was a good shipmate. I’m sorry at his passing. The photo was taken aboard the USS Wright CVL 49 riding at anchor in Hong Kong harbor on 9/1/ 54. I am on the left, Joe is center and Richard Rubin is right.

what a wonderful man.God rest his soul

Mary Jane, David and Sue - I was saddened to read of Joe's passing. He was a wonderful man with a wonderful family. He had so much to be proud of.
I think of you often. Best wishes.

I am so sorry to learn of Joe's passing. As Manager, Professional Relations at Ordnance Systems, Joe was my first GE boss. He was the exemplar of GE heritage smart, adaptable, driven by a strong sense of right and wrong, and always pursuing excellence with kindness, justice and humor. I was lucky to have such a fine mentor and leader as I launched my professional career and my life in the Berkshire community. His upstanding and forthright approach have remained my beacon through the decades...

My thoughts are with you. Our family lived across Revere Pkwy from his parents therefore we knew Joe as we grew up in the early to mid-50's. Great that he remained in Pittsfield and was a mainstay of the community.

So saddened to learn from Stuart of Joe's passing. I have warm, lingering memories of attending a seder at your home; so many years ago.

. May his memory be for a blessing.and may you know no more sorrow.

With the warmest affection to the entire Handler family.

My deepest sympathy Mary Jane on your loss. Joe and I worked closely as chairmen of the Tanglewood Volunteer association, and he always encouraged me with his great smile. He will be missed by many.

We hold many warm memories of Joe and Maryjane in our Pittsfield hearts. Rick and Carolyn Koch.

My condolences.
