My grandpa was a great man, he was a respected man in the navy, a great father, and the best grandfather I could have wished for. I sadly watched him have his heart attack during new years, 10 years ago. I will never forget him. Sincerely, ~Rowan.M

Penny and I are so saddened by Joe's passing. There will never,ever be another Joe. I first met him when he ran the Fitting Out team for the Spruance class and then on to his extraordinary career commissioning his beloved ships of the United States Navy. I never heard a cross word from this great man although there were many times in various commissionings when they were certainly warranted.
