Martha and Darlene. Obviously, I'm out of touch with important news in Annapolis and just learned of Jerry's death. He was one of the first Annapolitans that I met when I moved here in December 1990, and we had a consistent, passing friendship where he always had time for a catch-up. I'm so sorry I missed the chance to see you all and to pay my respects formally. He was an Annapolis Icon.

Jerry was a mentor to me for many years. I stole many ideas from him for my retaurant in Ocean City BJ's on the water. I will never forget his positive attitude. He had many friends in OC and I was thrilled to spend time with him when he was in town. He had a tremendous influence on my life. I will miss him.

Middleton's was my first job when I moved from San Diego early 80's when Sue hired me and from there I met lifelong friends and boy did we pull some shenanigans! My condolences to the Hardesty families. I worked for the Hardestys at their Middleton Tavern and The Upper Crust in the 1970s. Jerry, Bo, and Martha were always good to their employees and well respected by us.
