Not sure what to say?

Dear Harper Family,
I was very sorry to hear that Joe had passed away. I was Joe's Hairdresser here in Newberg and had the pleasure of having him for a client for almost two years. I really enjoyed the time i spent with him in my chair. We always had a good conversation and Joe could always make me laugh. He truly was a very kind man and it always brought a smile to my face to see i had Joe Harper as one of my appointments for the day. I am thankful for the opportunity to get to know...

I was one the many people who took care of Joe during his transplant and after. Everyone on our floor was saddened and shocked to hear of his death. He was a great guy and we all fell a little in love with him and his wonderful stories. His fantastic sense of humor and made us all smile every time we went into his room. He will be missed by all of us at OHSU. We know he is laughing at us from heaven with his donuts. All our prayers and thoughts to his family and friends. From all his...

I love you Dad! - Jon

Joe and I worked together for many years at Allen Machinery. I have many memories of good times during those days. Joe's son and our Noah were freinds at a young age and our family fondly remembers those times. The Harper family has always impressed us by their warmth and closeness. Although, I was unable to attend the service with Julia my thoughts, prayers, and memories were present.
Foye and Barb and family, we are so sorry for your loss, but we share with you the...

So sorry we weren't able to come to the services today. Our thoughts are with you all at this time.
Take care

After many many years with no contact, Joe and I reconnected just about 5 years ago after our Dad's bumped into each other at the Barber Shop. We talked on the phone, emailed, shared a few meals and took a day trip to the coast. We talked about many old friends and classmates we had in common, but most of all we talked about our parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. He was a good, honest friend and I could always count on him to tell it like it was. I will miss my friend. Please...

As a High School Principal I interacted with many students, but Joe Harper was one of those special students. It has been over 40 years and he still stands out in my mind.
