Sixty years ago tis coming Thursday, Joe married my wife, Linda, and me. We've had a good marriage, and are grateful to him for his help in getting it started.

Thank you Joe Heckel and family. Because of your assistance, my juvenile lifer husband is home with me today, after 34 years of incarcerated marriage! God will certainly say good work my loyal and faithful servant for all his fruit. Prayers for and blessings wished for his family.

Long live Joe Heckel! Many don't know that Joe was a pioneer in the juvenile lifers' movement. He spent tireless, countless hours and spent his own money on the cause until his health gave out and he could no longer push on. He drafted up Amicus Briefs on behalf of Fight For Lifers West and submitted them to the Supreme Ct. in Miller vs. Alabama as well as in PA after the ruling.
