Not sure what to say?

Cathie,

It is with great sadness that we only learned today of Joe's passing. Helen and I are deeply sad and sorry to hear this news. We wish we had heard sooner so that we could have come to the services to see you and pay our sincere respects to Joe.

We loved Joe. He was a great friend to us and a wonderful man. I can only imagine what a difficult time this must be for you and all of your family.

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Susan...

Anyone who knew Joe was well-acquainted with his uniqueness.
Joe was a gentleman. He was kind and generous, a staunch ally and a loyal friend. He was also a tower of strength.
Joe had a remarkable capacity to love on a large scale; his wife Cathie, his children and so many extended family members and his many friends were the beneficiaries. I certainly was one.
I remember with a smile, his irresistible fun-loving nature at all the parties, lunches at Dini's or teasing Jenny and Kate...
