My condolences to the Hennessy family. I am deeply saddened to hear of Mr Hennessy's passing. So many fond memories, words can't convey. In September of 1983, Joe Hennessy took a chance on a young, inexperienced 20 year old to be a salesman at River Oaks Ford. I am forever greatful for the opportunity Joe gave me. More than simply a boss, Joe was a mentor.

I worked for Joe as a car salesman in Calumet City-my first job after school.
He was a true mentor to me. I had absolutely no selling skills but I was a hard worker. he must have seen in that in me because he helped me immensely to succeed in sales. he was tough but encouraging.
