Not sure what to say?

Dear LOis:
Deacon Hodge was a special friend who encouraged me and helped me with my children. He shared his wisdom with other people, and whatever I needed to know he was just a phone call away. He was full of wisdom and he shared it with people he knew, and didn't know. He used to give me special kisses on the forehead. When I got sick and I couldn't attend church as much as I used to, he would always be there to encourage me. The last time we talked he told me not to give up. I...

To Philip Hodge and the Hodge family, It is always painful to lose a loved one, but the best advice I can impart is to "keep him alive in your heart." May God ease you through this sad journey and keep you strong for each other. My deepest sympathy.

To those who read this Guest book: A writer once wrote, "It is a shame when a man has nothing to show that he has lived long, except his age."

Those who knew him can surely say that the life of Joseph W. Oh the...

We were very sorry to here about this great loss. Dec. Hodge was a wonderful man. It was a great pleasure to have known such a God fearing man as him. He never once had a bad thing to say to me or about anyone else. What a great loss. But, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

i was shocked when i called to talk with him and his wife informed me he had passed. we talked almost every week. his mind was extremely sharp. for many years he filed my taxes. if there was a problem he would accompany you to the IRS office to resolve it. it never failed. LUV YA!!!

Mr. Hodge will be missed. I was about twelve years old when I first met him as a result of being friends with the children in the neighborhood, which included his son.
As I grew up, Mr. Hodge was always happy to hear about the good things the neighborhood kids were doing with our lives. He offered encouragement, advice and a bit of humor to our lives. He was also a way to keep in touch with those who had moved to a different city because of college, military, jobs and/or life changes. ...
