It was a blessed day when Joe and Heinz met on the railroad as volunteer conductors. It led to a beautiful friendship between the four of us. We love you and will forever keep Joe in our hearts and memories. For us you two have been and are remarkable, caring and wonderful people - real role models. Marge, When I met Joe for the first time, I found him to be kind, compassionate, funny, smart and willing to help anyone in need. He was able to keep these treasured qualities throughout his whole life. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and the community.

We are so sorry to read of your dear husband, Joe's passing.

I have such fond memories of seeing both of you, in church, when I was a little girl growing up in Honesdale. Your love for each other was beautiful. What a wonderful example you have both been for us younger marrieds.
