Not sure what to say?

What a wonderful man. He was such a servant to God and his fellow man. He will be remembered by all who knew him.

Our deepest condolences. MAY HE REST IN PEACE! LOVE AND PRAYERS.

Mr. Joe Hubbard was one of the reasons for my knowing what a true Christ-like man is/was. I loved him for the love, patience, attention, and generosity he showed my family and I. A very close family friend, but like family is what he to us. There's no perfect person only Jesus. Mr. Joe Hubbard was a true Saint. God bless his family, dear friends, and community that respected, loved, cared about him. No more suffering and peace be with him. Amen. With love!

It was an honor to meet Joe. My father grew up with him. As adults, my father had become a police officer in East St Louis. Joe was doing his work. My dad had several stories of running into Joe out & about. He would hand Joe a few dollars (meant to help out Joe....lunch, gas money) & Joe would almost immediately turn around and hand it to someone that needed it more. The man was such a beautiful person!

SAINT JOSEPH! 25 years ago Dan Heuerman asked, "have you met Joe Hubbard?" I met Joe that day at a home build behind the formerly St. Adelbert School. After that day, Dan would call, "Joe has a job at Holy Angel's or maybe somewhere else, do you want to help?". The answer nearly always was yes, you can't say no to Joe. Joe always called to thank you. For the next 20 years, Dan helped me learn the ways of Joe. Our condolences especially to wife Julie, the families of Barbara & Gerry...

Love you Uncle Joe. We know you did your best to help people in need. Many times I was there as your physical therapist, the phone would not stop ringing for St Vincent de Paul. It was sometimes hard to get therapy in as you tried to help people. You gave them all you could give. So many in need. So many dollars. You could not begin to help them all and people need to understand that. It was regional as well. Many times you gave your own money. You raised millions to help people that should...

God bless. A Saint on earth.RIP.

Joe Hubbard was one of the God-given blessings for people throughout the Diocese of Belleville. His witness of faith and charity brought hope and comfort to countless thousands of needy neighbors. He will be missed, but his legacy will endure! Wilton Cardinal Gregory's

Never has someone walked the earth who was more compassionate and caring than Joe! Even as a young man 40-45 years ago, I recognized this quality. I was fortunate enough to have worked with Joe and Gerry for a time at Catholic Urban Programs. Tom Hyatt
