Dear Hughes Family:

I remember Mr. Hughes from our old neighborhood on King Street in Bay City. I wish you all God's blessings and healing through this difficult time.

I have never known a finer man than my Grandfather. His memory will live on with all of us. Rest easy Grandfather, I will carry the torch from here.

Condolences to all the family. Wonderful neighbor....I always tried to beat Joe out the door to shovel my driveway, but he always was out there first. I agree with a previous comment that he had the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. May he rest in peace.

I remember Joe from the banks hardware he was always a happy guy. I was in high school and Joe taught me so much. He always had time for everyone. Lord be with you.

Dear family,
We were stunned to learn of Joe's passing. I think we knew him first at the Banks Hardware, then the National Guard, and finally at Powertrain, Bay City. I did lose track of him when I left Bay City to work in Mexico for G.M. de Mexico for three years. Then we moved to Tennessee, and I only had a chance to meet him for lunch a few times. He was still the same old Joe, joking and enjoying life. May God grant you peace, old friend.

My condolences to Joe's family. I knew Joe for a long time and he never changed, he was always a happy fun loving guy. It was great to have him as a friend, fellow National Guardsman and fellow GM worker. RIP good friend.

Donna and family,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Joe's (Jr's) sudden passing. It brought back so many memories of my time as a part of the crew at the former Bank's Hardware.Joe's friendship, knowledge and mentoring during those years will never be forgotten.
Please know that Linda and I will have you all in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult of times.

Devastated to hear about Joe - he was a truly kind and amazing man...we will remember him forever...
