IZABEL, Joseph L.
Joseph L. Izabel, 89, of East Hartford, entered the company of his father and mother on Saturday (November 9, 2013) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on August 22, 1924, a son of the late Manuel and Julia (La) Izabel, he had been a resident of East Hartford since 1980. Joseph was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II and a member of the VFW in South Windsor. Prior to his retirement in 1983, he was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford for 35 years. Joseph is survived by a daughter, Donna M. Sarmiento and her husband, James, of Waterford; a son, Raymond J. Izabel of Loxahatchee, FL; five granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday (November 13th) at 11 a.m. at the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial with military honors will follow at Veteran's Memorial Field-Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
