I spent a brief time with Joe as we lived together in Oshtemo and were in the same Reserve unit. He always was a caring father for his kids and always had that smile and happy attitude toward life. I am so sorry to read this today May god bless Joes family.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.

No words can describe what you are going through, but I send my condolences. I didn't know Joe well, but I do remember him being a great, funny guy who made people laugh, and on occasion, earned himself an eye roll. He will be deeply missed.
