Passed away on July 21, 2023, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Mary Ann (nee Hoenigke) Hannes. Loving father of the late Brian Hannes. Dear brother of Rose Shaw and Gladys Saxton; brother-in-law of Charlotte Goodman, and uncle of Thomas (Marilyn) Goodman, Ruth (Reidar) Strand, Laura Goodman, Dona (John) Varga, Carol (Steve) Burton, and Mike (Sandra) Shaw. Further survived by Mike Terwelp, other loving relatives and friends.
Joe served his country in the US Air Force. Afterwards he enjoyed a career as a dedicated mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. He and his wife, Mary Ann, had a family, and they loved their son, Brian, very much. Joe will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, and a good friend.
A graveside service will take place on Thursday, July 27th, at 2:00PM, at Good Hope Cemetery, 4141 S. 43rd St, Greenfield, WI 53220.
