Dear Frances and Family - So sorry to have just learned this afternoon that Joe has passed away. I would have for sure tried to be present for the funeral. For the rest of my life I will cherish the many wonderful memories with you all, and how we labored so hard to uphold and preserve traditional Baptist principles for future generations. Joe Jones was exceedingly kind to our whole family. His interest in history brought us together but he saw the need we had, me being a widow with four children and health circumstances with my cousin and helped us in many ways, including handling the writing of obituaries and also a book, He was our guardian angel over that whole period and was such an inspiration for my children. He will be missed. Sending thoughts and prayers.
