A memory I'd like to share that ranks, without question or thought, in the top 4 memories of my existence: It was about 30 years ago when Rafi had stayed over in Manhattan, during a break from Andover of one kind or another and we headed to Maplewood. We promised Yossi we'd wash the car and make it sparkle. When we drove it home, he welcomed us at the front door, with a joke - as usual - and it was a new one (for us). After that, Rafi said to me, "wait right here" - in the living room/salon...

I know of no one know touched my life and the lives of so many with such a unique brand of love, warmth, dedication, humor, intelligence and a talent that can only be classified as divine - one of the few things in life, like nature, that was, is and always will be perfect. My love to all and thank you for sharing Yossi with me for what has been the vast majority of my life. Kreplach will never be the same, but, hey - ours is better. All my love, all the time.

I´m forever grateful to have crossed paths with Joseph Kalichstein. I was learning a piano trio originally written for the KLR trio. Through emails and a visit to Kansas City (where I live), he graciously spent time with me and offered insights on every measure...things only he would know.
