Not sure what to say?

Amy, I didn't see this notice until today. I am so sorry to hear about Joe. My thoughts are with you, and once again am reminded how precious and fleeting the time we have to live and love.

Amy, I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was one of the truly good people. I've been out of touch and didn't even know that you two were together. So I am both happy and sad for you both. I left a longer note on Joe's Facebook page.

I did a service for UUCC on the color purple. Joe gave me a piece of purple bike chain to use for the kids' part of the service. He was a tender hearted man and I will miss him.

Joe was a good soul who devoted many years to the care of his parents. He was so proud of Peter. I especially appreciated that he was non-judgemental and always kind to me. He also laughed at my jokes. :) Joyce Mary

So sorry to learn of Joe's passing. We lost an amazing fellow. A true friend to many and worthy of praise. I will never forget the impact he had on so many-- even as a first year student at UVA. We lived on the same hallway and got to interact a lot and maintained contact through the years on facebook. Many Blessings to his family. Michael Mallory Charlottesville, VA

I will always remember Joe as a gentle giant. He was always kind to everyone he met. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

I bought my first bike from Joe, and 20 years later he still remembered me. He had an impressive memory and a wonderful friendly smile. He was the reason I started biking and we will truly miss this great man.My prayers and condolences go to his family.

Joe was always so patient and kind. Whenever ANY of us had bike questions we'd all say, "ask Joe, he'll know", or "take it to Joe, he can fix it". The bike I have now is the one Joe helped me pickout about 8 years ago. I have a little flash of thought of him whenever I ride. I am so sorry I had no idea he was suffering. Amy, &/or family please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you. Bless you all. I know Sprocket will grieve too in silent kitty ways so be sure to give him lots...
