Although I only recently met you, I am honored to remember the wonderful person you were. I always felt acknowledged and appreciated by you. Thanks for all the hugs, smiles, and laughs we shared. You were an important part of my PA family, and I am sad that I won't be able to see you again or introduce you to my wife. I know the love you shared with your friends and family will live on. To Friends and Family of Joe,
We are shocked and so sorry to learn of Joe's passing! We only met Joe via email this year and then face to face in June. He was an angel to us because of his immense help in caring for our cousin, Paul Austin, and then giving us hours and hours of his time in June when Paul passed.
We are saddened and will remember Joe as the tallest Earth Angel we have ever encountered. We so enjoyed our time with him! A dear, dear, man he was.

I think I will always remember you rearranging Suzie's alphabet blocks on top of the doorway in the house in Taneytown (you were the only one who could reach them without a chair). I will also remember the "fun?" we had making Christmas cookies with you. You were a great person and I'm sad I won't see you commenting on Suzie's Facebook updates anymore. Thank you, Joe, for having me as a friend for almost 40 years. You were such a kind, loving, caring & giving man to many. You were always there when I needed help.
