I was unable to spend much of my childhood or youth around Joe Kiernan... i started writing my Aunt Betty in the late 1990s.. the times I was able to see Aunt Betty and Uncle Joe were always upbeat, fun and memorable. Youthful and intelligent are words I would use to describe. My son adores Joe Kiernan.. a military guy himself.. Joe would spend a lot of time on the phone with my son (and emails) before, during and after his deployment to Europe, later the Middle East for 8 months and beyond....

I am very sorry for your loss. Mr Kiernan lead a great life. He will remain a great example for his family and friends. His career was very important to him but it never seemed to over shadow his wife or family. He always seemed to have life in its proper perspective. And of course he will always be remembered for his concern and hospitality. " how is your career and would you like a beverage? Rest In Peace Mr Kiernan, you were one of the good guys. You will be missed

It was a special bond of uniquely forged friendships that incredibly lasted more than 7 decades - a testament to the...

I have fond memories of talking to Joe every Monday night at Twining Village. I am the director of the Bucks Co. Women's Chorus and prior to the pandemic and for the past 9 years we rehearsed in the auditorium there. Joe would often be waiting for me when I arrived and was eager to ask what was up with the choir, what we were singing, and more. We had some good conversations about various kinds of music, too. When we returned to Twining a few weeks ago, I looked for Joe. Not seeing him, I...
