Joseph J. Kirkwood, age 69, of Bensalem passed away at home on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
Joe was proud to be a Union truck driver with Teamsters Local 470 and Local 107. He was an avid reader and at one point would read 3 newspapers a day. As a result, he was very knowledgeable about a wide variety of subjects, from finance to construction. Joe was so handy that he became the go-to guy for his family and friends when they needed help with home improvements. He and his wife liked to travel and his trips to Alaska, Hawaii, and Ireland were among his favorites. Joe also was happy to spend some time outdoors hunting and fishing with his friends.
Beloved husband of Mary Ann (nee Buettler); Cherished father of Charles (Regina) Ditsche, Elizabeth (Gary) Coughlin, Stephen (Desiree) Ditsche and Jonathan (Heidi) Kirkwood; Devoted grandfather of Thomas, Tyler, Ameara, Heaven, Liam, Paige, Alexa, Noel, Stephen, and Emily; Dear Brother of James, Maryellen, Anne, Michael, and the late Grace; Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives, Friends, and Teamsters Local 470 and Local 107 are invited to offer condolences to his family, Tuesday, November 30, 2021, from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1731 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem PA 19020.
Funeral Mass 10:30 AM.

Joe was a truly amazing family man and friend. Joe would always be at our side whenever we needed him or for a good laugh. My sons and I are blessed to have Joe in our lives . Joe was family and he will truly be missed. I hope he is met by his Family, good friends and Buddies. We will always love and remember you Kirk.
