Dear Kirrene Family:

Golly, where to begin ... I (Kay Bjornsen Inks) grew up on Marshall Way and absolutely adored our "neighbors down the
street" -- Mr. and Mrs. Kirrene. Such precious folks! Though I didn't know Joe, we did indeed hear of his prowess as a baseball guy.

My brother Jim (Bjornsen) and Joe's younger sibling Tom were such good buds way back when. What a treasure trove of memories of our Marshall Way experience!

My heart goes out to ALL you dear folks as...

As a kid growing up in San Francisco, I followed the SF Seals baseball team and Joe was the 3rd baseman. This was in 1955 or 1956. At a raffle, at one of the Seals games, I won an autographed baseball signed by the entire team and Joe's signature is on it. The ball sits on my coffee table for all of these years. I also remember sitting on the dugout as the players came out and telling him that my name was Joe too. I saw him play for the Oaks also. I treasure the memory of all of my Seals...
