Joe was a truly fine lawyer and person. It was a pleasure to have him in front of me trying cases and to work with him as a mediator in later years. He was always prepared, told the truth and tried to resolve cases when he could.

I started working at Garan Lucow Miller in 1986 as a legal secretary in the Detroit office. I had the opportunity to know Mr. Kochis. What sticks out in my mind is when you said hello to him, he always reciprocated with a smile. May God bless his family and lift them up during this time.
