Joseph R. Kolacsky, 64, of Canton, died, Saturday, January 1, 2005. He was born on Friday, March 22, 1940, in Canton. He retired from Sugardale Meats in 1989 where he was a Meat cutter for 30 years. He also did floral delivery for Apple's. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, served as an Eucharistic Mininster at Aultman Hospital, enjoyed fishing, working out, and swimming.

He is survived by his mother Mary Alice (Antenuci) Kolacsky of Florida, son Douglas Kolacsky of Massillon, son Jeffrey Kolacsky of Canton, son Brian Kolacsky of Canton, son & daughter in law Joseph and Dawn Kolacsky of Massillon, daugher & son-in-law Theresa and Bob George of Canton, daugher & son-in-law Cheryl and Melvin Grove of Fairbanks, Alaska, daugher & son-in-law Amy and Thomas Whitacre of Perry Twp., brother and sister in law Larry and Bonnie Kolacsky, brother Paul Kolacsky, sister and brother in law Paula and Ron Udeck all of Florida, sister and brother in law Barbara and Dominic Paolucci of Warren, Ohio, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra (Rupp) Kolacsky (2004) and father Joseph P. Kolacsky.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at 11:30 AM with Rev. William Kraynak celebrant.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, in Massillon.

Visitation will be at Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a scriptural service during hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.
