Pietszak Funeral Home - Cheektowaga Obituary

Joseph A. Kosmowski was called to his rest and to the Glory of the Resurrection, promised by the Lord, on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at the age of 80.

Joseph was a retired warehouseman at the Tops Markets Distribution Center, in Lancaster, New York, a member of the New York State Teamsters Local 264, in Cheektowaga, New York, and a 3rd Degree Knight, of the Father Justin Knights of Columbus Council 5670, in Cheektowaga, New York.

He was the beloved husband and best friend to the love of his life, his wife, Carol (nee Pieprzny) Kosmowski.

The devoted father to Kimberly (Joseph) Kish, Rev. Gary J. Kosmowski, Pastor of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, in Hampton, New Hampshire, the Mission Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, in Seabrook Beach, New Hampshire, and St. Theresa Church, in Rye Beach, New Hampshire, and Jacqueline (Mark) Smith.

Joseph was the loving grandfather to Jonathan (fiancée Laurel Tronsen) and Matthew Kish.

The cherished son of the late Eleanore (nee Kowal) and the late Joseph Kosmowski.

A dearest brother of Timothy (Robin) Kosmowski, and uncle to Timothy Kosmowski, Jr., Adam Kosmowski, and great-niece Aurora.

He was also survived by a close family friend, Colleen Brzyski, and was the fur-grandfather and pal of "Norman."

The family will be present for visitation on Sunday afternoon from 3-6 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street (near Harlem). Burial will be held privately.

Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at a later date. Please check back for updates.

Face coverings and social distancing will be required at all times during Mr. Kosmowski’s services. Current capacity restrictions may cause delayed entry. The family appreciates your prayers and concerns for their husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, during these trying times and would like to thank you for your support and understanding.
