Joe was one of the nicest people we knew. Having been a neighbor for many years on Brewster St we always called him the Mayor of 16 Acres. He always had a wave and smile. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Kupka was the most wonderful neighbor! Growing up on Brewster Street, I remember he always had a smile and a hard candy for the kids riding by on their bikes. He was such a kind and cheerful person. May he rest in peace.

A truly wonderful man who was like the Chairman when greeting all at 16 Acres. Devoted to his wife when she was in a nursing home for so many years and Joe visited her faithfully every day for so many years. A remarkable human being. I remember him from way back in the old neighborhood when he lived on Phoenix Terrace. Both Joe and Gert were so good to the neighborhood children an I too was a recipient of their goodness.
