Not sure what to say?

It was an honor and a privilege to know Mr. Laird. He was so kind and outgoing. I moved into the neighborhood about 20 years ago and he shared many stories of its beginning. He spoke about the 1976 Bicentennial and enjoyed talking about the many cruises he went on with his wife. He loved talking about his family and loved his boxers. He valued every thing good. His 100th birthday was celebrated with a parade of Mission Restaurant trucks and fire trucks in the neighborhood. I will miss him very...

In loving memory of a wonderful person. I was sorry I was away and misses his funeral at Wayne Presbyterian Church. I shared his obituary with the other “Hutchinson Girls” and we shared stories of your dad. He had a very good long life and was well loved. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. - Leslie Hutchinson Dudt

I enjoyed many walks with him at Valley Forge Park. I would walk Stephens Rd and pass his house and he’d say, “hop in. we’ll ride over to the school” and we’d park in his special ‘Jasmine and Joe’s’ parking spot. He was a very special person to me and so positive to be around. He certainly holds a special place in my heart. Miss you very much, Joe.

I am proud to have known Joe, I considered him a mentor and a role model, always fun to be with. Rest in Peace, My Friend Joe Canaris
