I regret my inability to attend the wake of Joseph Lane and to offer my sympathy and prayers for him and for his family.

May he rest in peace for eternity with his pre-deceased family members.

My sincerest and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Joseph M. Lane.
Joe and I were among the group who worked closely together in the 1962 and 1966 campaign to elect Frank D. O'Connor as Governor of New York. As a friend I was privileged to see Joseph become a Judge and then a Justice of the Supreme Court, Queens County. He was a compassionate, dedicated and wise Judge and a very devout individual. May God rest his soul.
