Not sure what to say?

I didn't know Joseph and don't live in Michigan. I came across this obit by accident and I'm sure we aren't related, but we do share a last name and the entrepreneurial spirit runs in my family also. It's sad that an obvious intelligent and good young man, died so young. Condolences to his loved ones and continued strength for the journey.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow....Dr. LaPenna..I have just heard of your sons passing....It has been 8 years for Frankie and although I know she is in a beautiful place , I miss her still.
I pray you find strength and remember all he was....Kathy and Doug Thorstenson

My deepest sympathy to Joey's parents and brothers, as well as his extended family. I was so very sorry to hear of this tragedy of a beautiful young man. I use to work with his dad at St Mary's and having lived in Lowell for most of my life, knew his grandparents and the wonderful Reagan family. You will be kept in my thoughts and prayers. May God bring all of you comfort and may it lessened your grief knowing that so many are keeping you in thought and prayers.

To the LaPenna family,
I just heard about Joey's passing and I immediately thought of him in my Spanish class at ACS. He had a bright smile and a great sense of humor. I remember his love for skateboarding and snowboarding. Prayers for you. Grace and peace.

Dr. LaPenna I am so sorry to hear about you son. I worked for you at WMH and enjoyed the pictures of your boys as they grew up. You and four family are in my prayers.

We are continuing to hold your family up in prayer as God's peace can occupy the emptiness you have. Know that He is in control and it is so difficult to understand why this trouble has to be in our walk with Jesus. All Glory and Honor is to our Savior Jesus Christ through this tragedy. We love you LaPenna family.....

Today is your 22nd birthday, Joey, so as your family and friends remember you, I'm hoping that means we all will do what we can to prevent tragedies like yours and help other families deal with their own members who may be caught in that awful web. Praying for blessings on you, B, Bill, Frank and Vinnie

Dr. LaPenna and Peggy
We received the news today about your beautiful son Joey. We sit with you in your grief, sending prayers for you and your family.

My condolences for the deceased. The funeral was well attended, and I was thrilled to see his friends come together and show how much Joey had had a positive and lasting impact on their lives. So much so, that they tattooed Joey's name on their forearms in a word that forms the word, Joy with the o in joy written to be seen to form an e, as well. So, despite the death of Joey at such a young age, Joey has and will continue to bring Joy to their lives. I'd have to say, that's my hope, too.
