Not sure what to say?

Over sixty years ago Joe began giving me violin lessons , instilling a love of chamber music that is central to my life. He took me hear David Oistrakh at Symphony Hall, but I was more thrilled when he (Joe) performed the Wieniawski concerto with the Lynn Philharmonic. I frequently play string quartets and never fail to think of this wonderful man and the gift he gave me.

Joe's lessons covered not only playing notes, but many other useful experiences and skills that have helped me immensely in my musical career. And some experiences were just priceless - like the time I went with him when he bought an attic full of violins someone's relative had collected (hoping to find a real Stradivarius) -we stuffed nearly 100 instruments into his little car!

An amazing man who will not be forgotten... He gave our family the gift of laughter, music and friendship... We will miss you Mr. Leary... David, Amy, Emily and Cammy Roberts
