MOUNTAIN TOP — Joseph B. Lenahan, 69, of Mountain Top, passed away Nov. 8 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Joan Myers Lenahan Dalon of Mountain Top and the late Joseph A. Lenahan. Joseph was a 1973 graduate of E.L. Meyers High School. He worked as a real estate agent and private investigator in addition to being a co-owner of an appliance repair shop. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, collecting coins and stamps, breeding fish, playing the guitar and metal detecting.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his father, was his grandson, Jacob.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 51 years, Rita Seess Lenahan — they were married on July 20, 1973; children: Joseph Lenahan and wife, Nicole, Johnstown, Pa.; Michael Lenahan, Kingston, Pa.; Lynette Mitchell and husband, Shawn, Lewes, Del.; and Jason Lenahan, Scranton; brother, Rolland Lenahan and wife, Debbie, Mountain Top; sister, Elizabeth Lenahan, Arizona; 11 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter, Marina.
Joseph was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mountain Top. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to service time Saturday in the church.

Mr.Lenahan was a fine man and cared deeply for his family and community. I recently saw Mr. Lenahan and we talked for a few. I want to offer my condolences to the family. I know it is a great loss to them , but you can rest assured that Mr. Lenahan will be watching from above. Rest in peace Mr. Lenahan.
