Mr. Joseph Isaac Lescelius

Mr. Lescelius was my shorthand and typing teacher at Lake Shore High School from 1972-1974. I was very fond of him. He thought me so much. I have been a secretary for 35 years and use the skills he taught me daily. He not only loved to teach but instilled values, loyality and respect in his students. He was always extremely professional and truly devoted to his position. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

I had Mr. Lescelius at Lake Shore High School for shorthand. I remember him as a quiet, gentle man. I'm sorry for your loss. May he rest with the angels.

I remember him very well! He taught me how to drive but boy did we put this man through some horrible things. The other girl couldn't drive at all and really never caught on. He had us in Lake Shore High School's parking lot to learn to park, do curves, fast stops, etc. He told this girl to get the car up 30 mph and right before the curb stop. Well she got the gas and brake mixed up and when he said stop-she hit the gas. We were going 50 mph at least over the curb headed toward the bowling...
