Not sure what to say?

I met Joe in the early 1970's when he sold Friden equipment to my company (Lehigh Portland Cement). That was the beginning of a professional relationship of many years during which we jointly pioneered many new technologies -- both challenging and rewarding. Years later we had a personal relationship walking at Trexler park and sharing many differing opinions. I will miss him.

Dear Eddie,

I was so sorry to learn about the passing of your dad. He was such a fun, special man and I have fond memories of spending time with all of you when I was a child. My grandparents, Les and Frances Wylie, loved him (and your mom) very, very much. As I understand it, your dad was very kind to my grandfather at a time when he needed a good friend and I know that their friendship lasted through many years. Everyone in the Wylie family was saddened to hear the news. We are...

I will miss taking to him and laughing with him, especially when I called looking for Eddie or my sister Maria. Our deepest and sincere sympathy.

Our heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. We met Joe at Clair Serena's birhday party and he was very nice. We remember talking to one gal that worked for your father and praised him in our conversation. She left a lasting impression that he was a great guy. Be assured that kindest thoughts of heartfelt sympathy are with you now!

Friends like Joe are unique and hard to find. I worked with him for 10 years in the 60’s. If you had him as a friend and a mentor, you had a treasure. Salting his comments with humor, wit and candor, his sage advice was always welcome. Hopefully, such memories will console his family at this sad time.

It has been many years since Joe and I explored some common business interests. I learned a lot about entrepreneurial approaches from him which served me well when I founded my own company. I'm thankful that I was fortunate enough to know him and I'm saddened to learn of his passing.

I am saddened to learn of Joe's demise. I liked him and always enjoyed his company. As an employer, he was fair and always provided encouragment. He will surely be missed.

Eddie,

My condolences to you and your family. I worked for your Dad during the Friden years in Bethlehem. He was quite the amazing individual. There are many great memories of the Friden days --- the picnics, the Holiday Parties, the camaraderie--- and yes, Eddie, I remember you coming into the office as a child with your dad and drawing airplanes on the green board in the Sales Office!

May fond memories of your Dad sustain you and give you strength during this difficult time.

I am very sad to hear about the passing of Joe. I worked for him for many years and felt he treated me very well. I think he truly cared about his employees and customers. He was very generous to all. I miss him...
