Not sure what to say?

Dear Doris: We never met (in fact, I never met Joe in person, either), but I knew Joe via our correspondence and through editing and writing for him for the JSA, and through reading his scholarship. He was a special soul, always trying to cultivate the talents and gifts of others. I'm sure he was a loving husband, and you must miss him very much. I am so sorry for your loss! May his memory be a blessing, and may you continue to sense his love and presence always. In sincere sympathy, Shoshana

I remember Joe's brilliant drawings. They brought me and others so much joy every time you were over with us at the Hotel. I will miss your husband's wonderful sense of humour´. Wish you peace, and I´m here to support in any way I can during this difficult time. With love, Daniel

I know that his scholarship has been a blessing to all cantors, but I most treasure his wit and his kindness. His Malka Leah misses him. Yehi zichrono barukh.

I cherish the time I had with Joe, and still have with Doris and their children. The world was surely so much brighter and warmer because Joe was in it, and his departure and our...

The world is diminished with Joe's passing. He added so much to those whose lives he touched - warmth, humor, and most of all love. He was always upbeat and cheering me on. I will really miss him.
