To Sis, Ruthie and Joe's extended family members, Kathy and I extend our deepest heartfelt sympathy. Joe was an amazing person and together with Elaine's work, the Litvin family became leading and most influential citizens of the Dayton community. I knew Joe through the engineering facet of his career. He was a challenge to work for, but easy to work with. He was the most qualified individual to ever hold the public office he did and he was an exceptional steward of the public trust. On...

I knew Joe through NSPE-OH and considered him a friend. We worked together on various efforts related to our mutual interests in serving the public health, safety, and welfare that come from being registered professional engineers. He will be missed by all that knew him and especially his family.

Sis, I just learned of Joe's passing, and it saddened me very much. He will be so missed by his friends here at OSPE! We often reflect on the wisdom Joe imparted to so many new engineers during his keynote addresses at the Ohio Engineering Certificate Ceremonies and, of course, the time we spent and enjoyed with you both at OSPE conferences. Sis and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was a good friend and a brilliant mind, and he contributed greatly to the knowledge base of the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers. He was Vice President of Legislative & Government Affairs when I came on board OSPE many years ago, and I learned a lot in a short amount of time from Joe.
