Joseph J. Lizzio

I worked with Joe for many years at Maple Shade High School. He was a kind caring man who was able to reach many students. After retiring we met for lunch and I was able to enjoy being with him. He will be missed but he will not be forgotten by colleagues and former students.

I did not know Joe but he lived in the neighborhood behind me. Every morning as I left for work our paths would cross as he would be out for his daily walk. We would always wave to each other, say hello and share a smile. I could tell that he was a kind, sweet man. I often wondered what his story was and I wish I had gotten to know him. I never even knew his name until today when I learned of his passing from a neighbor. Joe touched my heart and I will truly miss seeing his friendly face...
