Joseph L. Lockard

My prayers and condolences to the family and friends of Joseph. His memory and spirit will always be with you.

MY deepest sympathy on Joe's passing. I was his bus buddy on the Honor Bus to Washington DC and the WW II memorial. He was a delight and true treasure.

My father was a Staff Sgt in the Signal Corps and was stationed at Ft. Shafter when Pearl Harbor was attacked. He and Joe were in the same unit. Dad called and talked to Joe several years ago. Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of a most distinguished man.

My deepest sympathy Paul and family. I was an AMP colleague of Joe's for 27 years, and over the past 6 months had the honor of making several visitations and video-taped interviews with him concerning Pearl Harbor and our time and experiences working in electronics at AMP. He was a true gentleman and a scholar leaving a void which will not soon be filled. May he find eternal peace with his beloved Pauline. Thank You and Goodbye my friend.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Joseph L. Lockard. I recall with pleasure our time together in Dr. Derr's chemistry class at Williamsport High School in 1940. I was at the occasion honoring Joe in Williamsport following his return from Pearl Harbor. My condolences on the occasion of Mr. Lockard's passing. I was fortunate enough to recently meet and interview him...an honor indeed. The story will be printed in the next issue of Inside Pennsylvania Magazine, a quarterly publication.

Dear Paul, Cerrie, and family,
Our deepest sympathy to each of you. You all are in our prayers and thoughts. Paul, your Dad makes me proud to know that he served in the U.S. Army during a difficult time and distinguished himself as the radar operator who gave the early warning of the Japanee attach on Pear Harbor on December 7, 1941. To each of you wishing you many blessings and finding comfort in the days, weeks, and months to come.

I met Joe when he saw my Dad on the 50th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. He was a delight to speak with and I know my Dad, Bob McKenney, was delighted to see him again.
