Mr. Lorek,
It is with great sorrow that I write this. I did not hear of this until last night so I was unable to come to the hours. I do remember your son although I only met him a few times such a long time ago. I'd like to thank you for talking to me a few weeks ago when I was going through the loss of my son. It's such a hard world we live in. I'd like you to know that you were a great influence upon me. I remember being one of the only kids in your homeroom that stood and said...

To the family of Joe,
I don't know if you remember me or not, but Joe helped me get through a very tough time when my fiance Lee Deal was killed in Iraq. I was in Cleveland mourning the death of another friend of ours Mark Smykowski. It just seems like so much senselessness. He was a good person, and he will never be forgotten. We will miss you Joe.

My Dearest Joe....
I love and miss you so much sweetheart !!! It was soooo hard to see you today being laid to rest.
Your kind words last week when we last spoke and you telling me I was like a second mom to you meant so much. Then after our usual 2 hour phone call you said " love you mom see you soon" I will miss my 3-4 am calls from you :) All the things we talked about.
You will be forever in my heart Joe!!! I love you dearly my sweet loving friend.

To my family,
I remember being so excited that Joe would be in my kindergarten class on that first day when we got to meet everyone. I felt popular because I knew someone else in my class, and I don't feel popular often. It's funny that of everything, the most vivid memory I have of Joe is fighting over the same toy car at playtime in that class. He and I would eye each other suspiciously, waiting for Mrs McEndough (i think) to release us to play time, at which point we'd run -...
